Letter to the Minister of Health Regarding CPDMH
November 30, 2015
Although I’ve been a strong advocate and proponent for upgrades and modernization of the Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital over the years, a number of recent actions by the executive members of the hospital’s Board of Trustees has caused me to lose confidence in their ability to effectively manage or modernize our hospital.
On Wednesday, November 25, I attended the board meeting and spoke to these failings and misrepresentations by the Board. It is clear to me that our local municipal governments, the people in our community, the provincial Ministry of Health and I have all lost confidence in the present governance of CPDMH, and I have asked the province to disband the Board and CEO and appoint a supervisor.
